Inbox Cleaner is a browser-based tool that helps you analyse and clean up your Gmail inbox. This policy explains what data we access and how it's used.

What data we access

Inbox Cleaner requests access to your Gmail account via the Google OAuth 2.0 flow. Specifically, we request:

• From header and Date header of each email — used to build the sender list and count emails.
• Label IDs — used to identify which Gmail category (Primary, Social, Promotions, Updates, Forums) each email belongs to.

We do not read email subject lines, email body content, attachments, recipients, or any other metadata.

How data is used

• Sender data is stored only in your browser's localStorage on your device.
• Nothing is sent to any external server. The only network calls made are directly from your browser to Google's Gmail API (gmail.googleapis.com).
• Moving emails to Trash is performed via Google's messages.trash API — triggered manually by you. Emails go to your Gmail Trash and can be recovered within 30 days before Google permanently deletes them.

Data retention

Scan results are cached in localStorage on your device. You can clear this at any time by signing out or clearing your browser data. We retain no data ourselves.

Third-party access

We do not sell, share, or transfer your Gmail data to any third party. The only service that receives your data is Google (to fulfil the Gmail API requests you initiate).

Revoking access

You can revoke Inbox Cleaner's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
